02 / Chip seal
Chip seal: no more mud, no more washboard.
Chip seal turns a rutted gravel road into a sealed stone surface for a fraction of the cost of hot mix. It suits long country drives, ranch roads and lanes where looks matter less than a road that holds up.
- Prep the base. We grade and compact the gravel so water drains off.
- Spray the binder. Hot liquid asphalt goes down across the full width.
- Spread and roll stone. Crushed stone is spread into the binder and rolled in.
